Collaboration: A-Z Technology Tips!

Mrs. Yollis' class to collaborate and learn with others.
Recently, the class worked with 4KM and 4KJ from Victoria, Australia.

Together they  completed a Google Presentation slide show called the A-Z Technology Tips!
Enjoy and hopefully learn some new technology tips!

Did you learn anything new?

Can you share a technology tip of your own?

  1. Dear class,
I enjoyed your slideshow of technology. I think you covered all the items.
The only addition I would make is R for Royalty free music.
    Have a great vacation!

  2. Dear Mrs. Yollis and 4KM and 4KJ,

    I love the A-Z idea!

I am in Mrs. Yollis' class, and I helped and made a couple of pictures in the slide. One of the pictures I made was the jpeg/jpg.

I hope we do it next year!

    Sincerely,
    Chl♣e

  3. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

We thought it was very exciting doing the A to Z projects. Bennett did Safari which is a browser. I did log in and command/ctrl z. Our favorite slide was the email, because we liked how 4km and 4kj put the envelope on the computer screen. What was your favorite slide and why?

    Sincerely,
    C♣llin and Bennett

    1. Dear C♣llin and Bennett,

I also thought it was very exciting doing the A to Z project! I also thought that the E-mail was a grand slide by 4km & 4kj.

I never knew about YAPPY. Never give out your YAPPY! Y for your full name, A for your address, P is your phone number, P is also for your password, and Y is for your plans.

      Have a great 2013!

      Sincerely,
      P♣eter

  4. Hi Mrs. Yollis' class and 4km and 4kj,
We really liked the way you put your slide show together because it was in alphabetical order. We thought the best slide was the y slide for YAPPY. What a great way to remember the things you should not tell about yourself online! We all need to remember these things. It was a really cool idea to share what you know about technology.

  5. Dear Mrs Yollis and class,

Thank you for working on this project with us and I have to compliment Mrs Yollis for coming up with the idea. She is a very clever teacher!

I really enjoyed this project but it stimulated some excellent discussions about technology and online safety.

Today is our last day of school for 2012 but I'm looking forward to working together on more projects in the new year.

    Your friend,
    Mrs Morris

PS - a big thanks to Mrs Yollis for skyping with our new students today! They loved it!

  6. Dear Mrs Yollis & Class,
What a fabulous idea! I enjoyed reading your presentation, and I didn't know about Ctrl + Z - so I learned something new too! I like the idea of using Googledocs to make a collaborative slideshow... hmmm! All the best for 2013

  7. Dear Mrs. Yollis and 4KM and 4KJ,

It was fun thinking of all of those words and making all those pictures!

Now, I am going to name them with same words if I can't think of any of them. I will do different words if I can think of another one for each letter on the alphabet. Here I go:

    A is for Admin.
    B is for Bookmarks.
    C is for Comments.
    D is for Download.
    E is for Edublogs.
    F is for File.
    G is for Google.
    H is for Hardware.
    I is for Insert.
    J is for Jpeg.
    K is for Keyboard.
    L is for Login.
    M is for Mouse.
    N is for Network.
    O is for Online.
    P is for Post.
    Q is for Query.
    R is for Run.
    S is for Sequence.
    T is for Table.
    U is for User.
    V is for Video.
    W is for Word.
    X is for command/CTRL + X.
    Y is for YAPPY.
    Z is for command/CTRL + Z.

Can anyone else in the class name all the letters in the alphabet? Try to use different words!

    Thoughtfully,
    Heather
