Teaching First Graders to Comment!

Mrs. Yollis' class is friends with a first grade class at their school, Mrs. Levy's Class

Mrs. Levy's class has a blog.

Today, Mrs. Yollis' students met their buddies in the computer lab to teach them how to comment on a blog!  First graders can do a lot!

  1. Dear Mrs. Yollis and class,

We had such a great time today. It was wonderful learning proper blogging etiquette and how to write comments.

It was also amazing to see that in third grade you are also learning about 3D shapes. We really liked your video.

    Your friend,

    Mrs. Levy

  2. Dear Mrs Yollis' class,

Congratulations on being wonderful buddies to the first graders. You're lucky to have teachers like Mrs Yollis and Mrs Levy at your school who organise such terrific sessions! Learning from other students is great.

In my opinion, everyone in your class is wonderful at writing comments! You've been a big inspiration for not only my students but me as well!

    Keep up your great work,
    Your friend,

  3. Dear Mrs Yollis and your wonderful students,
how wonderful for the grade one`s to have buddies to teach them the right ways on how to blog.
From what I can see they all appeared to have done very well and at the same time really enjoyed the one on one with their buddies.I am pretty sure by the time they reach grade 3 the will all be A students at blogging.
Well done grade one`s and also to your buddies from your friend down under AA.

  4. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

It was really fun teaching our first grade buddies how to comment! The habit that I taught my buddy was when he types to always have your fingers on the home row.

I thought my buddy was really smart because he knew how to spell the word Eiffel Tower.

    Sincerely,
    Nick

  6. Dear Mrs. Yollis' class,

Hello everyone. My name is Peacegirl2334 from Mrs. Lofton's class. I think it's wonderful for your third grade students to teach their first grade buddies how to comment on a blog. It shows how much they learned to teach other students. Blogging is great to learn and I hope all of your students keep on doing it.

    Sincerely,
